Seaweed Events used to be a volunteer-run, non-profit concert promoter bringing live music from the East Coast and beyond to the South Shore of Nova Scotia. In May of 2008, the founder of Seaweed Events, Darryl Wright moved to Vancouver. The name has been temporarily retired with no immidiate plans for revival in its previous form.

Darryl would like to thank all the volunteers, artists and especially the audiences who supported his efforts to bring new and fresh forms of music and performance to the town of Lunenburg and the South Shore. You'll all be missed.
